Vacate your unit, locking all doors leading to the
common area
Following the assigned member of the building evacuation
team, vacate the building using the nearest and safest
exit
Do not use the elevators
Walk fast; do not run
Do not go back to fetch your belongings
In
case you're TRAPPED IN THE ELEVATOR...
The emergency lights will go on. Vacate your unit,
locking all doors leading to the common area
Press the BELL BUTTON located on the upper portion
of the control panel
A guard will respond to your call. Inform him of
the situation, and if possible, what floor you're
in
Just wait for the building staff to rescue you.
They have been trained on how to rescue trapped elevator
passengers.
In
case of BREAK-IN...
If you can't call the guard through the intercom,
use the PANIC BUTTON The emergency lights will go
on. Vacate your unit, locking all doors leading to
the common area
Do not create any noise that will let the burglar(s)
know that you've seen themPress the BELL BUTTON located
on the upper portion of the control panel
In
case of BOMB THREAT...
Let the caller fully deliver the message
Avoid upsetting the caller!
Get the exact message and try to prolong the conversation
so that you are able to describe the caller's voice
afterwards
Try to find out the location of the bomb and the
time of the explosion; what is the purpose of the
---
Try to note the exact time the call was received,
the background and the voice and tone of the caller
At the end of the conversation, inform the lobby
guard of what happened
In
case someone runs AMOK in the common area...
Inform your household and tell them to stay inside
your unit
Lock all doors and windows to prevent entry
Inform the lobby guard and, if possible, your neighbors
of the situation
If
the AMOK is inside your unit...
Call the lobby guard to inform him of the situation.
He will know what to do.
If you can't use the intercom, press the PANIC BUTTON
In
case there's an EARTHQUAKE...
Do not attempt to run out of the building
Seek cover under large sturdy furniture
Stay away from glass panels or other unstable objects
After the earthquake, if evacuation is necessary,
an evacuation team will lead you safely out of the
building
In
case of a COUP DE ETAT...
Stay indoors
Do not confront the offensive party
If there's a chance, stock up on food and other
basic necessities
Stay away from windows and other areas where you
may be hit by stray bullets or be visible to outsiders
Minimize lights at night; keep curtains and windows
closed
